Dawn Conn at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 – Under Southern Skies

Chelsea Flower Show 2026 Sculpture Installation – Stand PW220
Presenting ‘Under Southern Skies’ at RHS Chelsea Flower Show
(19–23 May 2026)
At the heart of Under Southern Skies, the sculptures find their place within a landscape shaped by the quiet spirit of the New Zealand bush.
Here, creativity stirs gently — carried on the rustle of grasses and the shifting light beneath expansive skies.
It is a space where courage gathers softly, and ideas begin to unfold.
Among layered, textural planting and a restrained palette of blackened timber, corten steel, and stone, the sculptural forms emerge as quiet companions. They echo the rhythms of nature — steady, grounding, and ever-changing — inviting moments of pause, reflection, and a subtle encouragement to be bold and brave.
In this sanctuary, fragments of thought and memory take shape. The garden becomes a place of transformation, where inspiration is rekindled and new possibilities begin to take flight.
Like the landscape that surrounds it, Under Southern Skies speaks to the beauty of growth and the quiet, enduring power of imagination.
A Contemporary Sculpture Garden Inspired by the New Zealand Bush

Inspiration Behind
Under Southern Skies
I am a storyteller. I am a dreamer. I am an observer of quiet landscapes and shifting light.
I create sculpture for spaces shaped by stillness, reflection, and a sense of grounded wonder.
There are themes of connection, transformation, and belonging that continue to draw me in.
This year’s collection, Under Southern Skies, is inspired by the spirit of the New Zealand bush — a landscape of openness, subtle movement, and expansive skies. It reflects a return to nature, to quiet courage, and to the gentle unfolding of ideas.
The sculptural garden becomes a place of pause and renewal, where form and landscape meet. It is a space that invites reflection, imagination, and a sense of becoming — where new possibilities take shape beneath open skies.

From the quiet wonder of early memory to the shifting rhythms of the natural world, each sculpture holds its own distinct presence and story.
Each piece reflects a journey — shaped by change, resilience, and the subtle unfolding of experience over time.
From flowing forms to grounded, poised silhouettes, the sculptures explore presence and balance, echoing strength in stillness as much as in movement.
They speak to connection — between people, place, and landscape — and to the quiet power found in simply being.
This is a celebration of form, of nature, and of the human spirit expressed through landscape and light — where meaning emerges gently, and beauty is found in becoming.
